Warwick Gates FHC Practice Charter
Zero Tolerance Policy
Warwick Gates Family Health Centre operates a Zero Tolerance Policy.
Our staff have the right to work in an environment free from violence, abuse, intimidation, discrimination and harassment.
Any patient, relative or visitor who behaves in an abusive, threatening or violent manner towards members of staff or other patients may be asked to leave the premises immediately. Where appropriate, patients may also be removed from the Practice list in accordance with NHS guidance and the Practice’s Zero Tolerance Policy.
Examples of unacceptable behaviour include, but are not limited to:
- Physical violence or threats of violence.
- Verbal abuse or aggressive behaviour.
- Harassment or intimidation.
- Offensive, discriminatory or abusive language.
- Damage to Practice property.
- Behaviour that causes staff or other patients to feel unsafe.
Where appropriate, incidents may be reported to the police and other relevant organisations.
We ask everyone visiting the Practice to treat our staff and fellow patients with kindness and respect.
